Tófa emerges from its den, hungry for prey.
Female-fronted noise-punk band influenced by long books and vicious animals. Their music is the deranged result of happy people doing angry things and embodies the animal after which the band is named. Tófa: cute and cuddly on the outside but vicious and bloodthirsty on the inside.
Wild, raw, and lyrical, Tófa delivers chaotic atmospheres exploring the darker sides of modern humanity.
Tófa has several releases to its name; Their most recent album Mauled was released in November 2024, Fleetwood Max (2015), Teeth Richards (2016) as well as the split Youdas (2016) and EP So Fucking Wonderful (2017).

„… blaring and flinty … They seem to have oozed from the same dank, festering space as Dilly Dally and weave in the odd deranged Cramps-style vamp to push the song through its suite-like state: destruction into confusion into despair.“
Pitchfork / Laura Snapes
„Right from the get go I felt they managed to be both accessible without becoming mainstream … The band had tons of enthusiasm, thick bass lines, solid drums, and proper screeches and howls. They were rocking so hard, in fact, that they blew Gaukurinn’s fuse. Well done.“
Gabriel Benjamin / The Line of Best Fit

„Tófa‘s sound is hyperactive and noisy, raw and bloody and tinny – just like coming from a garage. It scratches, it squeaks, it rattles and one can already see Gaukurinn bursting on Saturday“
